05.27.09Our Devil’s Night -trailer

It’s been long overdue…but here’s the breakdown of what’s been going down.
I’ve been locked away in the editing room for some odd six months STRAIGHT…and have complete edits of three features sitting here. Principal photography has wrapped on all three…we’re now rounding out the final films with a few shoots, color correcting and finishing up the remaining scores for them. Nearly there…
1) …And Then I Helped.
2) Let’s Make a Horror Movie.
3) DOUBLE DOSE OF TERROR!! The anthology that started it all. The official segment that maG films created for the collaboration with Tyler Tharpe(Return in Red, Freak) is called Our Devil’s Night.
Also of interest, Max Almeida makes his directorial debut on this film (DOUBLE DOSE). It is the opening ‘gambit’…Home Captive. The full length directors cut will be included with the films eventual release…which is particularly exciting.
I’m not saying an exact date of when these films will be complete, as that’s jinxed us in the past….but we’re now VERY close…and nearly to the finish line. A Halloween premiere this year is looking particularly promissing. We are making INDEPENDENT films of a true nature and I’m not particularly interested in calling it quits for the sake of finished…I’ve been hanging in there for that last breath of what we set out to do. That has payed off enormously with what is now in the final stages of completion, it’s made the difference between something that could blend in…to something that is more personal.
Also of interest, Eric James long in the making Chrome Baby is complete. NIKKI MAGgOT is working on the box art as I write this, it’s a wild and wacky ride for sure. Keep your retina’s posted for it….
And…for those whom inquire, “what happened to Opening the Mind”….well..this anthology thing has been such an insane roller coaster, bringing us happy accidents a plenty….that doesn’t mean that what was started has been forgotten. Opening the Mind was wrapped long ago on principal photography. Like Chrome Baby, being hammered with several inside and outside projects can easily pull one away from completing it…then. Typical hangups never allowed it to be edited but, it will be completed. Once these three seperate films are wrapped, I’m going to begin editing this film. I’ve always finished what I started, since I was a little tike.
So, here’s to all of us…the collective independents, making truly independent art….keep picking at your scabs, we’ll reach the tunnel soon. Keep the fire alive. Independent cinema has lost its meaning…let’s collectively fight to bring the old meaning back……..

Requiem once again removed us from this pitiful existence…The unrelenting hymn of the end times, devastated all in its wake. Thank you for showing us the light….
As for other news, Let’s Make a Horror Movie is slated to complete shooting by months end…And Then I Helped will also soon be wrapped with shooting by the end of October…Looking forward to a Halloween time premiere of the Horror Movie…
Let the good times groove. Listen to Requiem, eat maggots and run daily…
…out for now.
Many great bands…many I’ve only heard of how amazing they are. Then of course, David Graham will be unleashing new Requiem material. Be warned, I think it’s going to get rough…
This is Requiem’s first live performance since we shot the one for the Horror Movie. Ironically, Hollers is one of the venues we considered for filming. It’s only going to add to the surreal experience…as it’s something that could’ve been and now is….Sometimes fate brings amazing things. This is one of the best ways to celebrate Lets Make a Horror Movie coming to a close….and now we get to live out those moments, Sunday evening.

The Coroners Report delves into I Never Left the White Room:“If movies could reproduce and it just so happened that David Lynch’s Eraserhead and Vince Roth’s Nekro had a one-night stand together, their progeny would be Michael T.
